Directed from a wonderful piece of invective from Mr Hegarty on Thrive on Chaos about the twaddle that designers write about logos, I came across this gem on The Register. Oh Lordy, Lord, I do hope it's true.
Apparently, the UK Office of Government Commerce have being thinking about giving the old place a fresh coat of paint - and sure while we're at it, let's have a new logo too.
So they dashed off a quick brand image revamp and unveiled it this week:
Okay, sit up straight and make sure your eyes are more or less level with the logo on screen. Now drop your left ear onto your left shoulder and keep focusing on the logo. [For those of you who may be cervically challenged, pop me a mail and I'll send you the rotated image. I wouldn't want to cause any injuries this late on a Friday afternoon.]
Go and read Mr Hegarty's piece, then have a nice weekend.
